Jello Biafra has never been one to hide his contempt for our social ills. The lispy frontman blasts out his caustic vitriol like it’s still 1984, but the Dead Kennedys are long gone; now he’s got a new band that features bassist Bill Gould of Faith No More/The Talking Book/etc, and they deliver quite a punch with some intelligent, complex (for punk) fuck-yous to our corrupt and decadent society. No more quirky circus-freak rawk—the punk has a more aggressive yet off-kilter hardcore edge, which will please fans of Circle Jerks/Off!, Die Kreuzen, Battalion of Saints, 90s Poison Idea, and particularly the second DK album “Plastic Surgery Disasters”. Blast this and tell the terminal preppies where to shove it.
FCCs: #3. Try tracks 1 (a great anti-yuppie polemic that seems quite apt for the bay area) or 3 (a hard-rockin’ late night anti-military anthem.)

1. (3:41) Raging hardcore punk that gets your blood pumping and your ass in the moshpit; however, this is much more than just simple 1-2-fuckyou. Clever songwriting—an intricate narrative of our fucked-up system unfolds.
2. (4:41) Midpaced anthemic punk rock with a twist. Some vaguely thrashy riffs here and there, an eerie but invigorating chanting chorus. Dead Kennedys + caffeine jitter
3. (4:00) East Bay Ray is back? Nope, but some of the oddball guitar jangle is brings him to mind, though otherwise this is a dark and head heavy punk anti-war anthem. FCC “motherfucker”
4. (5:03) Dark apocalyptic punk riffs raining down from the sky, alternating with catchy DK-esque hooks.
5. (33:03) DJs BEWARE, THIS IS NOT A HALF-HOUR SONG. It is a 7-minute song with 20 minutes of silence and a hidden track at the end. The song itself is slower and has more wah-wah guitar solos than the others.
