WARREN WOLF: Warren Wolf Mack Avenue, 2011 MAINSTREAM JAZZ – Vibraphonist Warren Wolf has been turning heads for a while now, most prominently as a member of Christian McBride’s band. Here he takes the reins of a first-rate quintet (including McBride on bass) for a soulful session of feel-good bop and slinky balladry. A bit too well-mannered at times, but lively.
