South Bay indie band Melted Toys bring on the chilllll, evoking the sprawl of Santa Clara and late-night drives on 280. Drizzly guitar lines over nerdy drum machines and breathy vocals. Reminds me of Lotus Plaza and Unknown Mortal Orchestra.
*A1: Real nice, chill, smooth guitar lines evoking Lotus Plaza for me. Pixies-esque drums and waves of sweet, soft vocal drizzle.
A2: Nerdy little drum machine with some sweet guitar riffs, dawg. Real nice synth sax solo. Breathy vocals, track drifts along.
A3: Baby synths and pounding drums. Super dreamy, this one is. Wash, then dry.
*B1: retro 808 drums with more sweeeet riffage. Psychedelic nature documentary soundtrack? You bet'cha! Real nice instrumental.
B2: Woah this woke me up. Suuper dreamy processed vocals reminds me of Black Moth Super Rainbow. Going even more retro 80s on this one, got that Washed Out swag too.
B3: Upbeat, joyful riffage with phat drums to match. Rockin' that retro synth bass! Humming vocals sure to relax. These guys could really use some caffeine.
*B4: Nice distorted guits and Pixie-esque drums. Smoothed out Tycho synth guitars with whispery vocals. This track kicks it up a notch, great stuff.
