Dreamy ambient by one of the masters. Fennesz has a long line of impressive collaborations and personal releases and has moved from glitchy/static/experimental instrumental music to some of the most accessible mixing board ambient music. There are some drones and interesting effects but it’s all so pretty. This is a shorter release and features increased incorporation of guitars and even some drums that push this dangerously close to dream pop? All tracks instrumental. For fans of Danny Paul Grody, Fennesz’ collaboration with Sparklehorse, Tim Hecker on tranquilizers.

1. Guitars, staticy pretty textures. Sounds like a Yoshimi-era Flaming Lips instrumental with some knob twiddling. (3:07)
2. Spacious watery loop and effects manipulation, delayed bassy hum. (5:06)
*3. Ultimate organ pretty seeping droney slow burn. (6:47)
4. Light percussion and acoustic guitar along synthy strings, near syrupy and easy to like. I would say Hammock fans would dig this. (3:01)
