Singer songwriter/melancholy indie pop. This is the “pop” project of artist DeRosa, known for his ambient/psych work in Aarktica plus country/folk in Dead Leaves Rising/Pale Horse & Rider. Sounds like Leonard Cohen, Scott Walker (in the 60s, silly), maybe even Belle and Sebastian? Pleasant, easy to like; mostly lush with cellos and such. No FCCs.
*1. Sparse, slow, kind of slowcore and sad. (4:43)
*2. Midtempo drive, could be a hit with people who like “indie rock.” (4:29)
3. Acoustic, moody, weepy strings; another downer. (3:31)
4. Xylophones and vibes, no percussion, backing vocals, and melancholy trumpets. (3:55)
