Gringo Star/Count Yer Lucky Stars (2011)/Gigantic Music Reviwer: Megha

Poppy, British psychedelia-inspired with pleasing harmonies, plus a little extra crunchiness. Don't mind the lyrics, try to enjoy this Beatles-inspired production, and then maybe revisit the originals for what you're really looking for. All tracks FCC clean.

*1. (3:32) Mid. Plodding rock. Instantly recalls Beatles' studio effects.
2. (2:22) Mid. cheery, repetitive structure, at least there's a tambourine.
3. (2:53) Mid. Doo-woppy. Background oohs, and a tambourine.
4. (1:56) Mid-fast. Surfy guitar. Garagey overall sound.
5. (2:35) Mid-fast. Driving, fast kick. Bluesy piano.
*6. (3:32) Mid-fast. Organ! 50s feel, piano, pounding drum. Cool bridge.
7. (4:26) Slowish. Mediocre track. Weepy cello.
*8. (3:21) Mid-fast. Pretty intro. Transitions to a bouncy carnival-ish sound.
9. (2:45) Mid-fast. Bouncy bassline, and echoey la la la vocals. Twangy.
10. (3:29) Mid. 50s pop but harder...but still keeps those 'ooh waa's
11. (2:55) Slow-Mid. 50s ballad sound. Interesting guitar.
