Putumayo celebrates the season with a variety of Celtic artists playing the old standards plus a few you probably don’t know. Even if you hate Christmas music you might enjoy hearing a fresh take. Mostly instrumentals.

*1. A sea-shanty sound for this sweet classic. Midtempo.
2. Flute, fiddle, an instrumental track w/an elegant melody.
3. An upbeat version for perc, strings, instrumentally folksy.
*4. A relaxed French new year’s song for harp/perc/flute/vox.
5. Slow sort of bluegrassy instrumental that picks up.
*6. Accordion leads in this midtempo folk tune.
*7. So cool! White Christmas in Gaelic. Great fem vox.
*8. Another bluegrass-feel for strings & spoons.
9. Sweet harp/flute in a rather medieval sort of folk dance.
10. Sort of new agey. Midtempo instrumental.
*11. Slow, sad, nostalgic New Year’s Eve classic.
