Crazy good fun garage, think Okmoniks, Ramones (Phil Spector era). Male vocs that are perfectly insolent, guitars that sear, backup vocs in the mix, great drums and bass. The lyrics cement this so solidly, just great seemingly afterthoughts of all things that are important, that we all felt when we were adolescent and life was fresh and sex was magical. This is what the Rolling Stones wished they were doing when they first started. All tracks great, pick any really.

1) (2:46) sad sock hop ballad to start but launches into good simple dancey garage about “bad guys”
2) (1:53) total jumping fun dance fun, “I just wanna have fun” chorus and music puts this into the “epic” bin, alongside the Ramones and the best
3) (2:12) cleaner guitar but bad assed vocs remain, upbeat of course
4) (2:33) “running through the sprinklers with your clothes still on” upbeat makes this one so memorable… did I say epic too much? This is really off the hook, wow
5) (2:03) a bit more upbeat, 2/4 beat, “teenaged girls, you’re my world” – it doesn’t get any more youthful rock and roll than this, female background vocs ooh and ahh, wow, is Mr Esquire ready to say meow over a boy band?
6) (2:41) holy shit, big dramatic reverby beat, heavy drama, great sound
