Creative Swing Alliance-CSA EP
Label: City Fly

Creative Swing Alliance is Pablo Valention and Steven Wobblejay. They co-run the MCDE label with Danilo Plessow. Steven has released records on Compost Records, Soultronik & Jazzmin under his moniker Steppah Huntah and played double bass for the Japanese jazz band Sleepwalker. Steve and Pablo are both from Strasbourg, France and have been dropping racks together for over a decade. Their sound consists of detroit techno, chicago house, and new york garage.
All tracks are good but check out #1 and #3

1) First track starts off with a familiar MCDE feel. There are samples of people talking in the background kinda like the beginning of "got to give it up" by Marvin Gaye. Bass line kicks in and starts a bouncy groove. Keys come in to support the bass line and gives an old school housey garage feel.
2) James Johnston takes a deeper approach to CSA's original. This still has the same vibe but he uses a different synth and string sound. James also uses more of the female vox sample rather than the male one in the original.
3) Male vox loop starts off the track. High hats and bass line kick in after one minute in. Strings and synth eventually come in to give the track a lil more deepness. Very Detroit sounding.
4) The last track starts off with a male vox snippet. The vox eventually comes in and says "A woman needs". As the track develops the vox adds "A woman needs everything." Rising chords and a smooth bass line accompanies the track and creates a deep filler.
