Drone meets Chicago house. This is Read’s third EP on Fourth Wave this year. This time, he presents a weird mixture of spaced out drone and funky/jazzy Chicago house. Don’t worry, this is nowhere as cheesy as it sounds. In fact, this is a pretty darn solid house record. Try: Both, really. FCC: Clean 1) 7:18 ** A blend of drone and Chicago house. Constantly vibrating cymbals. Jazzy vocals. Understated and unbelievably cool. 2) 6:48 * Heavily processed loops, trashy sound.
