Album: Fifteen Thirty Three EP
Label: The Planetary Group

Indie mixed with alternative rock mixed with hints of classic rock in this Melbourne-based band. My review does not do justice as to how good this album is, with its complex, multi-layered arrangements—and especially its catchy guitar riffs. The album, which alternates between hard-hitting, brooding songs and upbeat airy pieces, is a blend of darkness and wistfulness. PLAY EVERY SONG IN THIS ALBUM IT’S REALLY GOOD. NO FCCs. Favorites: Every song in this album, but if you have to pick, pick 1, 3, and 2.

1. (3:37)*** Mid/Fast. Tense, brooding, dark. Love the brooding bass that drives this song. Hypnotic guitar riffs mixed with crash cymbals.
2. (3:58)* Mid. Dreamy and upbeat. Calm intro with jingling, then a jungle-like drum sequence that’s similar to Phil Collins’ “In the Air Tonight” hits you.
3. (4:08)** Fast. Brooding. Heavy rock interspersed with grungy guitar riffs. Wild drum patterns. Play this for some rockin’ good time.
4. (3:49) Slow. Light and floating. Again with the addicting jungle-like drum sequence, but accented with a simple guitar strumming. Dreamy “ooohs” from the male vocalist.
