Medium tempo stony, psychedelic rock. Hunkered down and more to the point than some of their earlier psych-folk freakout material; meaning that, while Hazed Dream isn't exactly acoustic, there's not a lot of distortion or guitar solos going on either. Vocals often remind me of Jim Reid from Jesus and Mary Chain, albeit decidedly more American. You can almost picture these dudes' near-barren Brooklyn apartment. They very likely get a lot of opening slots for bands on Drag City, Matador, etc. Will fit nicely into any contemporary psychedelic rock set or as a transition from 60s/70s stuff into a more modern track. – Brandon B.

FCC: none
RIYL: Warlocks; Spacemen 3; Swell; Kurt Vile; later, acoustic(ish) JAMC.

Tracks:
1. (3:49) – slow, lumbering, Jew’s harp through delay effect, no drums/gtr
* 2. (3:39) – midtempo, jangly, probably as upbeat as this record gets
3. (4:14) – midtempo, sounds a lot like Spacemen 3
4. (3:21) – midtempo, lazy, sparse, w/ some 90s sounding dissonance
* 5. (3:55) – midtempo, another semi-happy git-a-long number
6. (4:08) – midtempo, druggy hazy
7. (3:44) – midtempo, loping, bass and drums “ba-dum, ba-dum….”
8. (4:09) – midtempo, hazy echoed vocals, organ
9. (2:02) – instrumental, guitar/organ haze, no drums, fades in and out
* 10. (4:48) – midtempo, hazy again, CCR-esque chooglin’ at half-speed
11. (3:11) – slower, trippy swirling guitar/organ, floaty, minimal percussion
